Eligibility for Admission
Male / Female candidates are eligible to apply.
Should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31 August
of the year of admission to the programme. The upper age limit for
admission is 30 years.
Should have passed the pre-university examination (10+2) in recognized
university. Preference will be given to the students with English,
Physics, Chemistry, Biology as subjects of studies.
Should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than two
attempts.
Should be physically fit-supported be a physical fitness certificate.
The candidate should ensure whether he / she possess the required
qualification for admission.
The candidate is expected to ascertain his / her eligibility from
KNC, Bangalore before joining the course, especially if he / she
has obtained the qualifying examination certificate from outside
India.
Certificate
Degree : Students will be awarded the Bachelors Degree in
B.Sc. Nursing by the Bangalore University on successful completion
of the course.
Diploma : Students will be awarded Diplloma in General Nursing
and Midwifery by the Karnataka State Board on completion of 3 years
of training successfully.
Examination & Certification
Degree : At the end of every academic year, there will be
an University Board Examination. 25% of marks will be alloted for
internal assessment and 75% for external examination. The required
marks for passing the examination is 50%.
Diploma : At the end of every academic year, there will
be an State Board Examination. 25% of marks will be alloted for
internal assessment and 75% for external examination. The required
marks for passing the examination is 50%.
